Casey Cott, who plays “Kevin Keller” in CW’s hit series Riverdale, will be performing at the Kennedy Center for the The Who’s Tommy production April 24th-29th. The Who’s Tommy is based on the iconic 1969 album soon to be celebrating its 50th anniversary; it is an exhilarating story of hope, healing, and the human spirit. The five-time Tony Award®-winning musical tells the story of a pinball-playing, “deaf, dumb, and blind” boy who triumphs over his adversities. The 26-year-old Riverdale actor is set to play the lead role.
“Tony Award® winner Christian Borle (Peter and the Starcatcher, Something Rotten!) and Mandy Gonzalez (Hamilton, In the Heights) will co-star as Captain Walker and Mrs. Walker, respectively. The cast will also feature Manu Narayan (Merrily We Roll Along, My Fair Lady) as Uncle Ernie, Kimberly Nichole, a fan favorite on season eight of NBC’s The Voice, as The Gypsy (“Acid Queen”), and Wesley Taylor (SpongeBob SquarePants, The Addams Family) as Cousin Kevin. Additional casting to be announced.
