UPDATE: Police identify 2 bodies recovered from Potomac river

CHARLES CO. – Maryland Natural Resources Police have identified two bodies recovered from the Potomac River Sunday.

Fermin Alvarado, 45, Matias Alvarado-Arrue, 31. They are brothers from Woodbridge, Virginia.

NRP started searching for two missing brothers after they say a small boat overturned in the afternoon at the mouth of Mattawoman Creek.

The first body was recovered around 4:15 p.m. and the second was found around 6:50 p.m.

The bodies have been taken to the ME’s office in Baltimore for autopsies.
