FAIRFAX CO. – The ex-boyfriend of a 16-year-old girl who went missing and was later found dead in Fairfax County park is now being charged for her murder, police say.

Jholie Moussa was reported missing on January 13 and police recovered her body from Woodlawn Park about two weeks later.

On Thursday, police announced that Moussa’s ex-boyfriend, 18-year-old Nebiyu Ebrahim, is charged with first-degree murder.

The medical examiner’s office ruled Moussa’s death suffocation by smothering and blunt force trauma.

Ebrahim, of Alexandria, was identified as a person of interest in her disappearance back in January. Police say Ebrahim lives in walking distance from where Moussa’s body was found.

Investigators say Ebrahim has also assaulted Moussa in the past.
