Two injured in assault in Northeast

WASHINGTON, D.C.– Metro police of the Fifth District were called to the 1300 block of Brentwood Road, Northeast for a report of a shooting Tuesday night around 10 p.m.  Once on scene, police found an adult male and adult female suffering from gunshot wounds.  Both victims were transported to the hospital; the male victim is in critical condition and the female is in stable condition. Metro police are calling this an assault with intent to kill.

Anyone who has information regarding this case should call police at 202-727-9099.  Additionally, information may be submitted to the TEXT TIP LINE by text messaging 50411.  The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $10,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for this assault committed in the District of Columbia.
