ANNE ARUNDEL, Md. — A 25-year-old woman and 26-year-old man are dead after a crash on Crain Highway sent them into a tree and then a pole.

The two victims, Jasmine Mastin and Marcus Spriggs, were traveling northbound on Crain Hwy in an Altima when police say they were struck by a Dodge Charger driven by Reginald Dunn, 24.

The Altima was hit in the passenger side door, and then hit a tree and a pole.

Dunn was taken to the University of Maryland’s Shock Trauma center with serious injuries. Mastin and Spriggs were pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say they suspect speed and alcohol use by Dunn to be contributing factors to the crash. No charges have yet been filed.
