Police search for Fairfax grocery store thief

FAIRFAX CO. (Franconia/McLean Police Districts), VA – A man is wanted for stealing from several grocery stores throughout Fairfax County.

Isom Cooper, 52, has been identified as the suspect in the thefts, officials say. According to police, Cooper enters the stores, fills grocery carts with items and then flees without paying.

Cooper’s last known address was in Washington DC and he is known to operate a green Oldsmobile Alero and possibly a blue Hyundai Elantra. According to officials, he might have changed the license plates on the vehicles. There are several felony warrants on file in Fairfax for Cooper.

Cooper is described as black, about 5 feet 6 inches tall and around 196 pounds. He may or may not have been wearing eye 062816-female-suspect-with-isom-cooperglasses. In some cases, Cooper has been accompanied by a younger black female. She has been described as in her 30s, around 5 feet 1 inch tall and around 140 pounds.
