PRINCE GEORGE’S CO. – Police have ruled the 2016 shooting that killed 18-year-old Ki Johnson a homicide.

Johnson, of Laurel, Maryland, was shot in Lanham in 2016. He died late last year.

Police say Johnson was shot at the 9900 block of Greenbelt Road during an argument with another man on February 29, 2016.

In October of 2017, police say Johnson went to the hospital for breathing issues. He died later that day.

In February 2018, two years after the shooting, the Officer of the Chief Medical Examiner ruled Johnson’s death was a result of the injuries he suffered from the gunshot wounds.

Police say they are ruling this case a homicide.
