ANNE ARUNDEL CO. – Maryland Nautral Resources Police (NRP) say a Barred Owl was rescued by an officer off Route 100 near Route 10 during rush-hour traffic.

Police say the owl was likely struck by a vehicle Wednesday morning.

Police rescued the owl off the highway and transported it to a vet.

Thursday, the NRP said the owl is feeling batter and “feisty” at Frisky’s Wildlife and Primate Sanctuary in Howard County.
