#OfficerSanta: Alexandria police deliver almost 5,000 toys to needy kids

FAIRFAX COUNTY, Va. —  Alexandria Police delivered almost 5,000 Christmas gifts to needy children in fourteen communities all over the city this weekend.

The COPS division of APD partners with Alexandria Police Foundation to organize COPS for Christmas each year, and this year the APD delivered 4,800 gifts out of a roaming flatbed as #OfficerSanta. They teamed up with local organizations to drive for toys as well as hand them out.

The COPS division was also the regional supplier for Toys for Tots, and handed out toys to children through their program in Prince William, Fairfax and Arlington.
