CULPEPER CO. – A 13-year-old boy was arrested after planning to attack his school.

School officials were made aware by a parent who observed a social media conversation where the boy confessed his plans to commit acts of violence at school.

The Culpeper County Sheriff’s Office launched an investigation immediately.

Deputies say they searched the juvenile’s home and found a switchblade knife, boy, and pellet rifle.

The boy said he wanted to take revenge on a person he claims bullied him over the last several years and said he wanted to shoot “the deserving,” according to deputies.

Deputies say the boy also intended to commit suicide.

The boy was detained.
