WOODBRIDGE, VA. -- A male nurse has been arrested and accused of sexually assaulting a patient at a Northern Virginia medial center multiple times last week.

The Prince William County Police Department said Frederick Yeboah, 60, of Woodbridge, Va., turned himself in on Monday night and faces charges of sexual battery and object sexual penetration.

Police said Yeboah is accused of sexually assaulting a 39-year-old patient at the Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center, where he works as a nurse.

"Sometime between August 21 and August 24 the nurse did sexually assault the patient multiple times over those time frames," said Ofc. Nathan Probus. "During the course of our investigation, we believe at this point that there are no other victims that may be at the hospital. Of course, if anyone would have further information about any other assaults that may have occurred, we would love to speak with them."

Helen Linton, a Sentara spokesperson, said in a statement that the medical center is committed to the safety and care of its patients and are fully cooperating with police for this investigation.

She added that Yeboah has been placed on administrative leave.

Yeboah is being held without bond and has his next court appearance on October 17, 2017.
