Missing fisherman’s body found in Fairfax Co.

LOUDOUN CO. – The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office said they found the body of a fisherman who went missing Tuesday.

Harry Schmalz, 56, was last seen in the area of Algonkian Park in Sterling on April 17, deputies say.

Schmalz was described as an avid fisherman who was known to take walks in the regional parks.

Schmalz’s body was found in the area of Seneca Regional Park in Fairfax County.

Deputies say all indications show his death was accidental.
