ANNE ARUNDEL CO. – A 23-year-old man is behind bars after, police say, he killed his mother during an argument inside their home Saturday.

Officers responded to a home in Millersville at the 8200 block of Purchase Way just before 4:30 p.m. for the report of an assault.

A caller informed police that Torian Mack, who lives with his mom at their Millersville residence, assaulted his mother to the point of unconsciousness.

When officers arrived, police say they found 53-year-old Rhonda Mack-Dickerson lying on the floor dead.

Police say they also found Torian Mack inside the home and began an investigation.

Investigators learned that Mack began violently assaulting his mother during a verbal altercation. Police arrested Mack.

Mack-Dickerson’s remains were taken to the Medical Examiner who ruled her death a homicide from multiple injuries to the head and neck.
