Man dies in double shooting in Northeast, D.C.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – A 25-year-old man is dead and another man is injured after getting shot in Northeast, D.C. Tuesday.

Police say officers responded to the 6200 block of Dix Street, NE around 12:20 p.m. for the report of a shooting.

Upon arrival, officers found two men inside an establishment suffering from gunshot wounds.

Police say both men were taken to the hospital for life-threatening injuries.

One victim, Kayvon Herder, later died from his injuries.
