WORCESTER CO. – A man wanted for fatally striking a bicyclist in Berlin, Maryland earlier this week turned himself in Thursday, police say.

Jonathan Kidder, 50, of Berlin, was driving a car under the influence of alcohol when he struck and killed a man on his bicycle, police say.

The crash happened in the area of MD 589 and Gum Point Road around 10 p.m.

Police say Kiddler fled the scene.

The bicyclist, Jose Pineda, 38, was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead, officials say.

Then twenty minutes later, police say Kiddler rear-ended another car at US 50 and Keyser Point Road. Kiddler got out of his car to briefly talk with the other driver before running away.

Kiddler was arrested Thursday after turning himself in and police say he faces multiple charges including homicide by vehicle impaired by alcohol.
