PRINCE GEORGE’S CO. – Police arrested a man they say fatally stabbed a woman during an argument inside an Oxon Hill home on Sunday.

Officers were called to the 1100 block of Southview Drive, where both the suspect and victim live, around 4 a.m. for the report of a stabbing.

Upon arrival, police say officers found 26-year-old Brittiney Cobb suffering from stab wounds and cuts. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

The investigation shows 32-year-old Rodney Conyers stabbed Cobb during an escalated argument.

Cobb was arrested and charged with first degree murder, police say. He is currently in the custody of Virginia State Police on unrelated charges and is waiting to be transported to Prince George’s County.
