PRINCE WILLIAM CO. – Police have confirmed that the human remains found in Nokesville Tuesday have been identified as Palmer Marsh.

Marsh was reported missing on May 4 after, police say, he was last seen leaving his home toward the woods on family property on May 2.

Police say they conducted multiple searches over the past month around the area.

No foul play is suspected in Marsh’s death. Detectives are waiting for the final results for the Medical Examiner’s report to confirm cause and manner of death.

Police have found human remains in the area that was being surveyed to find a sixteen year old missing boy.

Due to the condition of the remains, police say they are unable to confirm at this time if they belong to 16-year-old Palmer Marsh who has been missing for over a month.

Detectives were in the woods near the 14800 block of Glenkirk Road in Nokesville, Virginia.

The remains were transported to the Medical Examiner’s Office in Manassas for further analysis in order to identify the person and determine their cause of death.

There is no known threat to the public. More information will be released when available. The investigation continues.
