WASHINGTON, D.C. – A former Metropolitan Police Officer was indicted on sex offense charges for allegedly having sex with a 14-year-old girl, prosecutors say.

25-year-old Nathan Clinkscale met the victim on a dating app the day prior to the offense that happened April 30 in Upper Marlboro.

“It is deeply troubling that a sworn officer who took an oath to protect and serve his community would think it is okay to have sexual contact of any kind with a minor.,” said Prince George’s County State’s Attorney Angela Alsobrooks.

The victim told police she invited Clinkscale over and led him in through a basement window.

The mother of the girl called police after noticing the basement window was open and hearing an alarm, police say.

Clinkscale told investigators he thought the victim was 18 at the time.
