WASHINGTON, D.C. — A driver was arrested Sunday on charges of hitting two cars in Northeast and fleeing the scene, then causing a major accident in Southeast shortly after.
Police responded to the scene of a hit and run that involved two vehicles around 2 p.m. The vehicle was described to them as a blue Chevy Impala with Maryland tags. Shortly after, officers responded to the scene of a major accident involving a car with the same description.
The driver of the Chevy was taken to a hospital for injuries from the second accident. Police investigated and found that the driver was linked to the initial accident in Northeast, at which point the driver was arrested.
