WASHINGTON, D.C. - This weekend's Opening Act is Agents of Good Roots, a band founded in 1993 in Richmond, Virginia.
Agents of Good Roots toured the United States from 1995 through 2001. Since then, band members have found success in music performance, the recording industry, academia, and medicine. In October 2017, they reunited for a memorial show for their tour manager and spiritual advisor, Jeff Peskin. Several dates are planned for 2018 including a return to cities last played in the 1990s.
The band played at Gypsy Sally's, the music venue for serious music lovers who don’t take themselves too seriously. Featuring local, regional and national Americana acts on our stage, they hope to complement the venerable Blues Alley as well as evoke memories of Georgetown’s entertainment heyday where locals and tourists had their choice of great music clubs like the legendary Bayou, the Cellar Door, Desperado’s and Crazy Horse Saloon.
