D.C. police officers help man with autism get home to NY

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Thanks to D.C. police officers, a man with autism is back home safe in New York.

D.C. police officers were alerted that a 24-year-old man with autism rode a bus from New York City to D.C. and got lost.

Officers found the man and learned that he was unable to buy a ticket to get back home to New York.

Police were able to get the man a ticket and say he is now home, safely.
