Arrest made in Anne Arundel County shooting

SEVERN, Md. – The Anne Arundel County Police Department has arrested a man connected to a Monday night shooting in Severn.

That shooting occurred in the 8200 block of Durness Court around 11:15 p.m. Police said they were called to the address and found a man who had been shot. That man was treated at a hospital and released. He is expected to survive.

Police said they tracked down Keith L. Brown, 39, a short time later. Investigators said they also found the gun used in the shooting.

Brown calls Windsor Mill home. He faces several charges including Attempted 1st Degree Murder, 1st Degree Assault, 2nd Degree Assault, Reckless Endangerment, Illegal Possession of Ammunition, Possession of a Firearm with CDS, Use of a Firearm in a Violent Crime, Illegal Possession of a Regulated Firearm, Firearm Possession with a Felony Conviction and Assault Weapon, Handgun on Person.

No motive for the shooting was shared by police.
