Anacostia Watershed Society hosts second annual “BioBlitz”

BLADENSBURG, MD. -- The Anacostia Watershed Society (AWS) held its second annual "BioBlitz" over the past weekend, where the community helped document all the species that call the watershed home.

The event ran from September 6-9 and people could upload photos of their plant or animal sightings into the app "iNaturalist".

The AWS also held an in-person event at the Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens on Saturday, September 8. Over 100 people attended and 454 species were identified.
