WASHINGTON, D.C. – One kid is starting his own trend, #ALLCRABS, and hopes to make it a new tradition in Washington.

That tradition is to throw a crab onto the ice after the game ends.

The idea was started up by 15-year-old Jack Merritt who was the first person to toss a crab on the ice after game three of the Stanley Cup.

In Vegas, fans throw plastic pink flamingos on the ice after Golden Knights games to celebrate a win.

The Caps Crab already has its own Twitter, and has picked up lots of traction with businesses like Old Bay and Jimmy’s Seafood tweeting about the sensation.

What do you think? Will the crab throwing become a new Capitals tradition?
