67-year-old man killed in pedestrian collision in Northwest, D.C.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – A 67-year-old man was killed Wednesday in a pedestrian collision in Northwest, D.C.

Police say the crash happened at the intersection of North Capitol Street and Channing Street.

Around 9:30 p.m., a Hyundai Sonata was traveling southbound in the 2500 block of North Capitol Street.

Johnson Doerue was crossing from the east side to the west side of North Capitol Street when the vehicle fatally struck him.

Police are investigating.
