3 firefighters injured, 5 displaced in Prince George’s Co. house fire

PRINCE GEORGE’S CO. – Three firefighters injured and five people are displaced after a Prince George’s County house fire Thursday.

Firefighters responded to the house fire in the 13900 block of Bishops Bequest Drive in Upper Marlboro around 5 p.m.

Officials say the fire appeared to have started in the garage of a 2-story home.

While battling the blase, three firefighters were injured. Two injuries were heat related and the other was a small burn. All injuries were non-life threatening.

Fire officials say three adults and two children are now without a home.

Damages are estimated at $125,000.

The cause of the fire is still being investigated.
