UPDATE: Woman killed in D.C. pedestrian hit-and-run identified

WASHINGTON, D.C. – A woman who was killed in a pedestrian hit-and-run in D.C. Thursday has been identified.

Police say 51-year-old Sherron Pressley, of Northeast, is now dead after she was struck by a vehicle in the 1600 block of Kenilworth Avenue.

Another woman who was struck in this same collision is injured but expected to survive.

The incident happened around 3:45 p.m. Police say both women were in a crosswalk area when a dark-colored vehicle turned left onto Kenilworth Avenue and struck the victims.

Police say the vehicle fled the scene.
