18-year-old killed in D.C. shooting

WASHINGTON, D.C. – An 18-year-old man was shot and killed in Southeast, D.C. Sunday.

Officers responded to the 2800 block of Stanton Road around 1:15 p.m. for the report of a shooting.

When officers arrived, police say they found 18-year-old Taquan Pinkney, of Southeast, suffering from a gunshot wound.

Pinkney was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.
