17 displaced, 1 injured after jumping from window during fire

WASHINGTON, D.C. – 17 people are displaced and 1 person is seriously injured after an apartment building caught fire in D.C. Wednesday.

Firefighters responded to the 2800 block of 28th Street, Southeast for a fire on the second floor of a 2-story apartment building.

Fire officials say one teenage girl was seriously hurt after she jumped from the second floor. She is in stable condition.

One firefighter suffered a minor injury.

In total, 10 children and seven adults are displaced from the fire.
