The 10 day walk, “March to Confront White Supremacy,” started on Monday in Charlottesville, Virginia on August 28th and will end in Washington, D.C. today. The march is a non-violent response to the rallies that happened in Charlottesville last month, including the remembrance of Heather Heyer who was killed when a car ran into a crowd of people during the rally.
The marchers are asking for racial equality, President Donald Trump’s impeachment, and the removal of certain persons from his administration. Groups such as the Women’s March, the Movement for Black Lives, and the Working Families Party as well as many more are the ones behind the march. There is a twitter set up and a #Cville2DC tag that they are using to broadcast their movement throughout the walk. The group has picked up momentum over the past few days, even garnering some attention from the stars, including Mark Ruffalo:

They have currently passed through Georgetown and are closing in on DC, hoping to get there before the weather gets too bad. You can follow their up dates via twitter here.
Update: The protesters have made it to the Martin Luther King monument and have finished their march.
