  • Rain chance last thru the weekend in the DMV

    WASHINGTON, DC — Rain chances increase for the weekend and into early next week. A few different disturbances coming in the the southwest and northwest will have an effect on our weather. Showers will be possible early Saturday morning and again during the afternoon. Monday will have the greatest rain chances before diminishing a bit by Tuesday.

  • A few degrees cooler, but still hot Thurs & Fri in the DMV

    WASHINGTON, DC — A front coming through the area tonight will scatter a few showers and storms through the late evening hours. Thursday will feature a wind shift. West/northwesterly winds will lower the humidity just a touch, and temperatures will be a few degrees cooler. We will look or a high near 88 Thursday, and 89 Friday. Storm chances will be very low until the weekend.

  • Chance of storms will continue until late tonight

    WASHINGTON, DC — Storms will most likely develop west of D.C. this evening, these areas west of town are in an area identified as a Slight Risk. The Slight Risk area is more favorable more severe weather. Storms could produce gusty winds along with very heavy rainfall and could possibly migrate eastward toward I-95. The Marginal Risk area has a lower chance for severe weather.

  • Wet pattern continues in the DMV

    WASHINGTON, DC — The current wet pattern will remain locked in for the remainder of the week, and into the upcoming weekend. More showers will be possible tonight and into tomorrow morning. By Wednesday afternoon and evening, scattered storms will develop with the potential for heavy rain and gusty winds. Much of the area will have a Slight Risk for severe weather.

  • Rain chances decrease as we head to the weekend

    WASHINGTON, DC — The chance for rain will remain with us for the next 7 days, but at least the chances will be lower from Thursday into Saturday. Thursday afternoon will carry a 30% chance for a few showers and storms. These storms will not be as widespread as we’ve seen in recent days.

  • Remaining very humid in the DMV

    WASHINGTON, DC — This excessive humidity will continue through Wednesday. A cold front to the west will move in later Wednesday and change the pattern for a few days. More sunshine will start to appear starting Thursday. Our rain chances will decrease for a few days, then spike again on Sunday.

  • Temp slightly cooler for Thurs. & Friday in the DMV

    WASHINGTON, DC — A cold front moving through the area will bring slightly cooler and a bit more comfortable air for Thursday and Friday. It won’t be too dramatic of a change. Humidity will increase over the weekend and temperatures will creep back into the lower 90s. Storm chances remain low until the middle part of next week.

  • Temps head back to normal in the DMV

    WASHINGTON DC — This week will feature very few extremes temperature wise. The average is now 89 degrees, we will see numbers slightly above,or slight below that for the remainder of the work week. Rain chances will pick up a bit as we get into the upcoming weekend.

  • Possible severe storms on tap for this weekend in the DMV

    WASHINGTON, DC — Showers and storms that will develop by the afternoon hours have the potential for heavy rain and gusty winds. This recent wet pattern will start to wrap up this weekend as temperatures return to the upper 80s. Drier air will start to move in early next week. There will be a few storm chances by midweek.
