Brennan Somers joined WDCW in April 2016.

Previously, he was the morning anchor for the NBC affiliate WMBF in Myrtle Beach, SC where he covered events ranging from hurricanes, Presidential visit, Charleston church shooting, and co-anchored the special “Darlington Race Day Live” a four hour pre-show leading up to the Southern 500 NASCAR race.

His career also included stops in Memphis where he served as a sports play by play announcer as well as sports writer covering his alma mater the U of Memphis where went for undergrad.

He then went on to get his Master’s Degree from the S.I. Newhouse School at Syracuse University.

When not at work, you can find Brennan playing golf, out exploring parks and trails, or brewing beer at home but there’s no guarantee the end product is as good as he hoped!
