ARLINGTON, Va. – A 16-hour barricade situation in D.C. ended with a rape suspect in custody.

Police say officers attempted to search a home in the 3300 block of Mt. Pleasant Street, Northwest Wednesday night.

60-year-old Salodus Hicks, of D.C., refused to come out of his residence prompting the barricade.

After 16 hours passed, police say Hicks was arrested without incident. They do not believe Hicks was armed or had any hostages.

Hicks has been wanted by Arlington Police for allegedly raping and physically assaulting a victim he met through an online ad last week.
