WASHINGTON, D.C. – Comcast opened thousands of Xfinity Wifi Hotspots across the DMV as Hurricane Florence is expected to make landfall Friday.

Over 127,000 free hotspots will be available to non-customers in Maryland, Virginia, D.C., Charleston, Savannah, Augusta and parts of Delaware and West Virginia.

Comcast said they hope to keep citizens and emergency personnel connected during Hurricane Florence.

Forecasts show Florence moving southward, lowering the impact to the D.C. metro area. However, weather officials say the storm’s path could still change.
