6-month-old dies from burn injuries in D.C.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Police are investigating the homicide of a 6-month-old girl in D.C.

Police say officers responded to the 1900 block of Valley Terrance in Southeast on September 5 to assist firefighters.

When they arrived, the found 6-month-old Brooklynn Hill-Davis, of Northwest, suffering from apparent burns.

First responders took the baby to a hospital to be treated for life threatening injuries.

After all life-saving efforts failed, police say Hill-Davis died 5 days later. Her remains to taken to the Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy.

Officials say she died from burns and her death was ruled a homicide.
