WASHINGTON, D.C. – The woman who was arrested after a video captured her smashing the window of a Greyhound bus and striking a man with her car is being held without bond.

While 20-year-old Mariana Silver’s lawyer says she mentally ill, prosecutors say Silver is a danger to the community after her family allowed her to go without medication for two weeks and drive.

Although Silver’s lawyer said her family has made arrangements for her to get help, the judge ordered Silver to stay in jail.

Police released video of Silver smashing the window and mirror of a bus and then striking the driver of the bus several times with her vehicle as he tried to stop her from leaving the scene of an accident.
