MONTGOMERY COUNTY, MD. –  The Montgomery County Public school  system is going to be debuting a free condom program this school year at four local area high schools.

Those schools will include Gaithersburg, Northwood, Watkins Mills and Wheaton.

This decision comes after some Board of Education members were worried about the rising rate of STDs in the nation according to the CDC. The members would like to see all of the county’s 25 high schools and 40 middle schools to adapt the free condom program eventually.
