WASHINGTON, D.C. – A Metrorail train misrouted towards Vienna, Virginia Tuesday due to a signal issue outside Rosslyn.

Metro officials say the Blue Line train still traveled in a safe direction and no one was hurt.

Customers deboarded the train at Court House Station and got on a train in the opposite direction to Rosslyn where they could transfer to the Blue Line to continue their trip.

“Metro is working to address the signal issue and has procedures in place to ensure the safe movement of trains,” said a Metro spokesperson in a statement. “Appropriate corrective action has been taken.”
