BALTIMORE, Md. – PETA is asking Marylanders to see the individual in crabs.

A new billboard in Baltimore shows a picture of a crab with the phrase, “I’m ME, Not MEAT.”

The following line says, “See the individual. Go Vegan.”

“Just like humans, crabs feel pain and fear, have unique personalities, and value their own lives,” said PETA Executive Vice President Tracy Reiman in a press release.

The billboard will be on display through September 15, the same day as the Baltimore Seafood Festival.
