LOUDOUN CO. – A Loudoun County bridge is now closed after Tuesday night’s storm.

Deputies say the bridge located in the area of Stumptown Road near Bankfield Drive in Waterford was damaged from the storm.

The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office did not say how long the bridge would be closed, but did say it will be shut down for a “significant amount of time.”

Authorities encourage drivers to avoid the area and find alternative routes.
