D.C. ranked 3rd worst city in U.S. for mosquitoes

WASHINGTON, D.C. – D.C. residents and frequenters may want to stock up on bug spray.

The District was named the third worst city in the U.S. for mosquitoes, according to a study by Terminix.

Terminix released its list of the top 25 cities in America impacted by mosquitoes in recognition of World Mosquito Day.

They used service data from over 300 branches nationwide to compile their list.

Baltimore, Maryland also made the list in the number 10 spot.

Terminix says mosquitoes are the world’s deadliest animal, according to the World Health Organization and are vectors for deadly illnesses.
