LOUDOUN CO. – A 62-year-old man was arrested Monday for a child sexual abuse that was reported to authorities in 2003.

The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office says Kevin O’Connor was arrested and indicted on multiple charges for sexually abusing a victim who was between 13 and 15-years-old at the time.

When the case was initially reported 15 years ago, deputies say it was declined due to insufficient evidence at the time. The case was reopened in 2012 and further investigation through multiple interviews led to Monday’s indictment.

O’Connor was charged with sexual assault by force, two counts of aggravated sexual battery, two counts of aggravated sexual battery while incapacitated (asleep), and two counts of taking indecent liberties with a child, deputies say.

He is being held without bond.
