WASHINGTON, D.C. – Capital Bikeshare will be bringing electric bikes to D.C.

DDOT DC announced they would be adding electric bikes to their fleet in a tweet Monday. However, they did not say when the bikes will become available.

Capital Bikeshare will be the second company to offer electric bikes in the District. JUMP, owned by Uber, was the first.

JUMP’s website says electric bikes allow users to go farther, get there faster, and have more fun.
