WASHINGTON, D.C. – Police say they arrested a man suspected of carjacking a vehicle that was used in the murder of 10-year-old Makiyah Wilson.

Court records show 30-year-old Kevin Eugene Jones stole a 2008 Infinite G35 at gunpoint from a home in the 9400 block of Fontana Drive in Lanham, Maryland.

The carjacking happened on July 1, just over two weeks before suspects shot at a crowd of people in Northeast D.C., killing Wilson.

D.C. Police initially offered a $25,000 reward for information in Wilson’s murder and the FBI has offered an additional $20,000.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at 202-727-9099.
