GLEN BERNIE, Md. – A Glen Bernie man was waiting to take his driver’s test when he was arrested for items found in his car.

Police say 22-year-old Reginald Wooding, Jr. was waiting in line in his mother’s car to take his driving test at MDOT when a driver’s license examiner thought she smelled marijuana coming from the vehicle.

The examiner became suspicious and contacted a state trooper who was working at the building. The trooper confirmed the strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle about to be used for the driving test and investigated.

While searching the vehicle, police say almost a pound of marijuana, a handgun, and $15,000 in cash were recovered.

Wooding was arrested before getting to take his driving test.
