PRINCE GEORGE’S CO. – A young man is inviting a special guest to his wedding Saturday- the Prince George’s County firefighter who helped save his life.

Firefighter Damion Duncan was on his way to work when he saw a vehicle drive off the road. Duncan immediately went to help, along with another firefighter, and found a young man, critically injured and heavily entangled in the wreckage of his vehicle that was wrapped around a tree.

That young man was Juan Morales.

Morales visited the fire station along with his family and girlfriend to thank the rescuers and treat them to pizza. He called the firefighters “angels in my path.”

Duncan made quite the impression on Morales and his girlfriend. The trip formed a friendship and talk on occasion.

The couple, now bride and groom-to-be invited Duncan to their wedding.

“I`ve never been invited to a wedding. This is different. Special. It`s very nice. Honored to go to his wedding. Proud of him. He`s a strong guy. He`s tough. He`s a fighter and I`m honored to be around him and his family,” said Duncan.

After the crash, Morales was confined to a wheelchair.

However, with lots of determination, Duncan will be able to see Morales walk down the aisle on his big day.
