WASHINGTON, D.C. –  The family of the man who was shot and killed by U.S. Park Police last November has now filed a 25-million dollar lawsuit against the department.

Bijan Ghaisar was unarmed the night he was shot by police, following a chase in Fairfax County.

Police later released dashboard camera video of that incident which showed Ghaisar being stopped three times by police.

His family says he was unarmed at the time. Now attorneys say the family wants justice.

“In whatever form justice comes in. So, one of the main things will be simply to get answers to the questions. Who are these officers, what was on the 911 call, why did they do this, why did they think it was necessary,” said the attorney.

In a statement today, Park Police said they have been advised not to comment on the lawsuit.
