Fired employee sets restaurant on fire

PRINCE GEORGE’S CO. – A woman is behind bars after, investigators say, she set a restaurant on fire after being fired from the business.

Firefighters responded to a fire at Al’s Deli Supreme located at 14703 Main Street in Upper Marlboro around 1:30 a.m.

Officials say it took about 100 firefighters to extinguish the fire, which took about an hour and a half.

Investigators determined the cause of the fire to be incendiary. Fire officials say they identified 26-year-old Jessica Poole, of Harwood, as a suspect.

Officials say Poole is a former employee of the restaurant and was recently fired.

She has been charged with 3 counts of arson and 2 counts of reckless endangerment.
