Police searching for suspect in D.C. homicide

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Police are searching for a man they believe is responsible for shooting and killing a 22-year-old man in Southeast, D.C.

The shooting happened Friday in the 4300 block of 4th Street, Southeast around 9:50 p.m. Officers responded for the report of a shooting.

Upon arrival, police say officers found 22-year-old David Hart, of Southeast, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to a hospital where he later died.

Police identified 28-year-old Marcus Whitaker as the suspect in this case. He is described as a Black male, approximately 5’11” in height, weighing approximately 140 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair.
