Police searching for suspects in 2 D.C. homicides

WASHINGTON, D.C. – D.C. Police announced they are searching for suspects in two separate homicides.

Southeast

The first homicide happened at the 700 block of 12th Street, Southeast on June 10.

Police say they responded to a home around 6:45 p.m. to check on the welfare of 40-year-old Wykeena Ferguson.

Upon arrival, police say officers found Ferguson unconscious and unresponsive and suffering from a gunshot wound. She was pronounced dead.

Police have identified the suspect in this case as 48-year-old Xavier Dunmore, of Southeast, D.C. Dunmore is described by police as a Black male, 6’2” tall, 280 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair. He should be considered armed and dangerous.

 

Northwest

The second homicide happened at the 400 block of 2nd Street, Northwest on July 2.

Police say they responded to the scene around 5:35 p.m. for the report of a shooting.

Upon arrival, police say officers found 34-year-old William May, of Southeast, D.C. suffering from a gunshot wound.

He was taken to a hospital where he later died.

Police have identified the suspect in this case as 37-year-old Reginald Johnson. He is described by police as a Black male, approximately 5’10” in height, weighing approximately 210 pounds, with green eyes and was last seen with a Mohawk style haircut.  He should be considered armed and dangerous.
